NAPM-Columbia Basin Board of Directors would like to wish our entire membership a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! I would just like to say being the President of NAPM-Columbia Basin this year has been a good opportunity for me personally and professionally. Thanks for a wonderful year so far, we have had successful dinner meetings with good opportunities for all of us to learn from one another and grow in our profession. |

The Board of Director’s has been working very hard to reestablish and develop our affiliate in our community. The first step was to adopt a catchy new logo designed by Tiffany McFarland’s husband Jesse McFarland which we greatly appreciate. BIG THANKS to Jesse & Tiffany for helping us through this process and giving us the tools to move forward to develop our marketing tools. We will be reaching out to new industries in our community, suppliers, past members, and students who are developing their skills in business. I also want to welcome Tiffany McFarland to NAPM-Columbia Basin’s Board of Director’s. Tiffany has accepted the position as Director and we look forward to having her on the board as we plan and share ideas for the future of our association. As we move into the New
Year I am looking forward to the dinner meetings we have planned for you
and hope you enjoy the new venue Tony Roma’s (right next to Costco).
This change is being made because of the feedback we have received from
members. January: Regional vs. National Economics – “How is the Tri-Cities doing?” February: Relationships with Suppliers March: Purchasing Month (Board is planning event) April: Sustainability May: TBD (Possible Plant Tour) To continue this momentum; I would like to ask all members of NAPM-Columbia Basin to take a minute out of your busy schedule and contact me; President@ismcb.org . I need to know what the association has done or needs to do to better to support you as a member. As your president I want to make sure the affiliate is meeting your expectations and if it is not what can we do to improve it. I look forward to the continued challenge of developing and growing our affiliate to provide members with opportunities for professional and personal development through supply chain management and be a positive reflection of our profession. Thank you and Happy Holidays! Michelle Ochweri NAPM-Columbia Basin, President 2011-12 |
